Game System: Original Gameboy System
Model: DMG-01

The original Game Boy, model DMG-01, is the handheld that started Nintendo's portable dynasty in 1989. It has a green-tinted screen, runs on four AA batteries and plays Game Boy cartridges, plus the black dual-mode Game Boy Color cartridges. Classic games include Tetris, Super Mario Land, Pokémon Red and Blue, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Kirby's Dream Land. A contrast dial on the side adjusts the screen, and the link port connects two systems for multiplayer.
